RedWood Film Festival announces the list of Official Selected films of August 2019.

  • Redwood Film Festival is an Online Film Festival. 

  • Our Jury screens the monthly selections Privately and from there we select the winners. Only the winning films will get a chance to participate in a second selection at the end of the year. If they pass the second selection, we'll screen them at our annual live online screening. Where one film from each category will be awarded.

Synopsis: A woman with a shady secret is haunted by a mysterious entity, while taking a shower in a historic hotel.

Film: Hush

Synopsis: one minute micro horror, when a husband wakes to the sound of his wife comforting their baby not all is at it seems




BEST LGBT FILM OF THE MONTH

Film: Naked, Hurt & Pissed off

Directed by: Magnus G Bergström, Josephine Bengtsberg


Synopsis: Anna is a young woman that loves to party and don't want any deeper connections. She's a player. Suddenly she finds her self pregnant and in love with a man. She don't know how to handle this new situation. It doesn't help that the world is a place where heterosexuality is seen as dirty and wrong.

Synopsis: A cafe harbours three stories; an ex serial

killer is set on a blind date but he suffers from

withdrawal symptoms controlling urges to kill his

date; To escape a break up situation, a guy cons

his girlfriend into believing that he is a

contract killer; A death artist, an actor who is

practising or doing method acting by dying in

different places.

Film: Flying on the Wings of Time - Chapter Three - “Buenos Aires and a Million Memories”

Directed by: Dr. Teresa Mular


Synopsis: This film includes a very personal visit to the magnificent and newly restored Teatro Colon, the largest opera house in South America and one of the most beautiful in the world. With unique historical recordings, anecdotes and interviews with artists who performed on it's stage.

Also a wonderful journey focusing in spectacular monuments that adorn many public places and which reveal the strong influence and taste for Europe during the 20th century.

Synopsis: Plants are growing in paradise; one of them nicer, more beautiful and taller than all the other and provoke a disciplinary action. Against all odds has consequences even in paradise.

Synopsis: During the WWII North African campaign, a German sniper of the AfrikaKorps and a U.S. Combat engineer find themselves the sole survivors of a battle. They must reluctantly join forces to escape a marauding band of desert nomads and the unforgiving desolation of the Sahara desert. During their odyssey, the German relates the destruction of his country due to following their corrupt politicians. He regrets not stopping them before it was too late. It's a specter from the past that sadly parallels many aspects of our society today. The German soon realizes his own government is the real enemy of his people and struggles to find the courage (Tapferkeit) to stop them.
